An affordable housing professional from Los Angeles, California, Gil Seton Jr. is a manager at SP Investment Fund LLC. In this role, Gil Seton, Jr oversees the acquisition, rehabilitation and development of affordable multi-family rental housing.

Mr. Seton graduated from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1989 with concentrations in real estate and finance. In 1990, Mr. Seton began his career as a project manager for Calmark Development, a firm that specialized in developing affordable housing in Southern California. By 1990, he had become the owner and president of Showplace Development, Inc., a firm that he founded to focus on developing affordable housing.

In 2003, he formed SP Investment Fund LLC and became its manager. At SP Investment Fund LLC, he has been involved in acquiring and/or renovating over 10,000 units of affordable housing in approximately 20 states. He has also overseen the investments of SP and affiliated entities in early stage technology startups, including many biotechnology and life sciences companies pursuing products that will benefit society.

In addition to developing affordable housing, Mr. Seton has donated to charities such as Operation Smile, Hearts with Hope Foundation, and the Women’s HIV Program of the University of California at San Francisco. Further, his affiliated companies have worked with various non-profits such as Riverside Charitable Corporation, Community Housing Assistance, Inc. and LifeSTEPS.
